Study on Grid Code Aspects for Estonia Completed

Driven by the impending harmonization of European grid codes, mandated by the EU Network Codes, Energynautics was commissioned in August 2017 to conduct a study on various aspects of international grid codes. The study was completed successfully in February 2018.

The World Bank has commissioned Energynautics to draft a grid code for the Armenian distribution network. New technical requirements are defined, such as connection requirements, quality of supply, and metering and operation for distributed generation.

Draft Solar Grid Code for Vietnam

Energynautics has developed technical requirements for rooftop solar PV installations in Vietnam, taking into account existing regulations and international practices. SNOOPI project enters final phase: Performing field tests

The increasing amount of photovoltaic plants leads to voltage rise in the distribution grid. Within the SNOOPI project Energynautics develops a regulation tool, which parameterizes the reactive power curve of inverters in dependence of the position in the grid. As a last step of the project, field tests with seven battery systems are carried out.

3DMicroGrid meeting including a presentation by Dr. Eckehard Tröster in Seville

From 8th to 10th of November the third 3DMicroGrid meeting with participants from all involved universities and companies took place in Seville. Besides the review of the current project status and discussion of further steps, interesting presentations on the practical implementation of microgrids were given. Among others, Dr. Tröster presented Energynautics experiences, gained during the “Cell Controller” project in Denmark.

Project DESIGNETZ is in full swing

On commission by the German distribution system operator EWR Netz GmbH, we contribute to the joint project DESIGNETZ, part of the German funding program SINTEG. We conduct deep analyses on various measures to increase the penetration of renewable energy plants in the distribution grid – amongst them intelligent network management systems that control transformers, wind and photovoltaic power plants and consumer loads to identify and resolve grid problems.
