Energynautics presents at Training Program on Grid Integration of Large Scale RE at NPTI
Energynautics CEO Dr. Ackermann presented during the One Week Training Program on Grid Integration of Large Scale Renewable Energy for Indian Grid Operators at NPTI, Faridabad from 18 – 23 February, 2019 that was organized by GIZ – Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit.
Under the Indo – German Energy Program – Green Energy corridors, GIZ along with National Power Training Institute (NPTI) and Power System Operation Corporation (POSOCO) has designed a certificate program titled “Renewable Energy grid integration” for Indian grid operators. This is a blended training program keeping in view needs and availability of grid operators who will work in RE grid integration. The training course has been structured in an online module of three months of detailed studies and a class room module of 6-day training. The course material was developed with the assistance of Energynautics, Fraunhofer IEE, University of Oldenburg, Overspeed, C3L and IIT Bombay.
The online module for the first batch of grid operators started in November 2018 and completed in February 2019. Topics which were covered in this online module included basics of RE technologies, forecasting of RE generation, scheduling and balancing, policy and market mechanisms to facilitate RE integration, grid codes, technical standards and visualisation & control of renewable energy generators.
In continuation with online module, a 6-day classroom training module was organised at NPTI Faridabad from 18 – 23 February, 2019. The content of classroom lectures was aligned with topics covered in the online module and in addition some hands-on exercises and best practices case studies were included.
It is one of Energynautics core endeavors to disseminate knowledge on RE grid integration. Therefore, we are conducting trainings on RE grid integration and organizing a series of yearly conferences on RE grid integration. They have developed into meeting points for international experts and provide optimal conditions for an intense exchange of opinions, knowledge, and project experience.
This year, the 18th Wind Integration Workshop, the 9th Solar Integration Workshop and the 3rd E-Mobility Power System Integration Symposium will take place in Dublin, Ireland from 14 – 18 October 2019. We are also organizing the 4th International Hybrid Power Systems Workshop in Crete, Greece from 22- 23 May 2019.
