PV Port & Store
India aims to install 40 GW solar PV capacity on rooftops by 2022. In order to support this target, Energynautics developed a standardized easy-to-install PV plus battery system. The developed PV port system consists of solar PV panels, a lithium battery system and an intelligent unit – the snoopiXcontroller – for coordinating the aforementioned products.
The PV port system is tailored to Indian households which are characterized by frequent power outages, a high demand in the evening and lack of a net-metering system, which means that the meter always counts up whether power is imported or exported. PV Port is designed and developed with the following features: plug-and-play (i.e. without complex electric installation), uninterrupted power supply to critical loads; no power export to the grid; maximization of self-consumption; peak shaving of high load peaks in the evening; and a solution for protection blinding.
