Technical guidelines for ground-mounted and floating solar PV projects from the development to the dismantlement phase

Development of Handbooks on Risk Management

The guidelines aim to provide a practical reference to solar PV project developers, investors/financiers and contractors to facilitate the implementation of projects, and to help them avoid potential risks during the various project phases. The guidelines will cover ground-mounted as well as floating solar PV projects.

While still hardly existent in Vietnam in 2018, Solar PV generation capacity has been built up extremely quickly since 2019, with more than 4 Gigawatts of capacity put into operation by June 2019 already. However, there is still no medium to long term experience with this technology in the country’s power sector, and project developers, contractors, investors and other stakeholders are looking for guidance that allows them to avoid unnecessary risks and make project development more efficient.

On behalf of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Project / EU – Viet Nam Energy Facility in Vietnam, Energynautics was working together with local consulting company PECC3 to collect international best practices and compile easy-to-use guidelines that are adapted to the technical, climatic, and legal/regulatory context of Vietnam.
