The 2024 Renewable Energy Grid Integration Week has successfully concluded in Helsinki, Finland, bringing together the global renewable energy community for a week of knowledge sharing, practical insights, and innovative discussions. This year’s event took place from 7-11 October 2024, at the Scandic Marina Congress Center, and featured:

• The 23rd Wind & Solar Integration Workshop (8-11 October)

A Week of Impressive Participation and Global Representation

More than 450 participants from over 30 countries attended, showcasing the event’s strong international appeal. The conferences provided a platform for industry experts, researchers, and policymakers to present their work and engage in in-depth discussions on the challenges and advancements in integrating renewable energy into power systems.

Key Themes and Conference Highlights

E-Mobility Symposium: The 8th edition featured a comprehensive exploration of electric vehicle integration strategies, including smart charging technologies, grid adaptation measures, and new ancillary service models.

Wind & Solar Integration Workshop: More than 385 participants had the unique opportunity to learn more from 150+ experts in 40+ sessions about cutting-edge topics such as grid-forming technologies, hydrogen integration within renewable energy systems, and innovative approaches to maintaining grid stability.

Enriching Tutorials and Accompanying Events

Participants were also able to attend tutorials that deepened their understanding of Electromobility, Grid Forming and Variable Renewable Energies (VRE) integration strategies. These tutorials, along with a series of networking events, created an environment conducive to collaboration and professional growth.
