Energynautics develops electric vehicle charging guidelines

Accelerating E-mobility transition in the Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic is experiencing a rapid increase in electric vehicle adoption, resulting in high rates of charging station installations. Yet, to date, there is no governmental regulation or support in place to steer this development.

Energynautics has been tasked by GIZ through GET.transform to support the Dominican Superintendency of Electricity (SIE) in developing electric vehicle charging guidelines. In addition to technical EV charging regulations, the tasks include in-depth capacity building events and the development of support documents to improve public perception. For this purpose, Energynautics will guide SIE throughout the stakeholder consultation process.

With previous experience gained in a similar project in Bangladesh, Energynautics is the ideal partner to provide the country specific evaluation for the Dominican Republic. In addition, applicable project results are shared with relevant Latin American participants in further capacity building events, reflecting the global perspective of GET.transform.
