Energynautics present Smart Charging Concepts at V2G Event
At the Vehicle-2-Grid event, which took place from 27-28 April in Aachen, Germany, Energynautics presented smart charging concepts for various application markets. The goal is to prevent grid overloading by means of intelligent solutions such as ENAsecureCharge.
The event attracted a wide audience to Aachen. One of the main topics of discussion at the event was the question of what will become the standard for bidirectional charging in the future: Alternating Current (AC) or Direct Current (DC). Opposing views were discussed, with socio-economic arguments being countered by cost and effort concerns on the part of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
From Dr. Tröster’s perspective, AC makes more socioeconomic sense, but he expects DC to prevail as OEMs predominantly support this path. He looks forward to continuing the discussion on the future of electromobility at the 7th E-Mobility Power System Integration Symposium in Copenhagen on 25 September.
