Grid Integration Week 2019
in Dublin
More than 500 participants from 38 countries joined the Grid Integration Week from 14-18 October in Dublin.
This year’s Grid Integration Week including the 3rd E-Mobility Power System Integration Symposium as well as the 9th Solar and 18th Wind Integration Workshops took place from 14-18 October 2019 at the Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport in Dublin, Ireland. From Monday to Friday the international RE Grid Integration Community convened to discuss trends in electric mobility as well as integration of solar and wind power into power systems.
With 100 E-Mobility participants from 17 countries, 150 Solar participants from 30 countries and 300 Wind participants from 31 countries, especially the Wind and Solar conferences have proved to be the place to connect with experts and major players in large-scale integration of solar and wind power into power systems.
Participants from power system operators, transmission and distribution grid operators, wind turbine, solar inverter and charging station manufacturer, universities and research institutes, and consulting companies convened to share insights in the current status of grid integration of renewable energies. International project experiences, trends and innovative approaches were a major focus of this year’s conference week.
In addition to regular sessions, participants also had numerous opportunities for networking and deepen their knowledge in key topics: i.e. introductory tutorials on “Grid Edge Technologies – Benefits and Applications for Grid Operation and Planning” and on “Lessons Learned from Grid Integration of VRE”. Networking opportunities included the combined Networking and Whiskey Tasting Event at the Irish Whiskey Museum and three Networking & Poster Receptions. These Networking Events are a platform for poster presenters to showcase their findings and discuss them with workshop participants in a casual get-together.
